This group was founded in response to the ongoing and alarming national trends of opioid related morbidity and mortality, as well as the well-documented history and ongoing challenges relating to substance use in Hawai’i.

The purpose of the organization is to support and promote the commitment of the students, alumni of the William S. Richardson School of Law, and the legal community to serve the public interest and to encourage the practice of public interest law. The purpose of the organization shall be accomplished by educating students and the legal community about opportunities in public interest law and providing monetary grants to students and alumni to further justice by serving underrepresented persons addressing issues that affect the public interest.

This VIP course focuses on designing, building, and testing unmanned aerial systems (drones). Students create lightweight, power-efficient drones with autonomous navigation and advanced image processing. Applications include identifying above-ground unexploded ordnance (UXOs), demonstrating safe retrieval at Mākua, and maintaining accurate counts for target and anomaly identification and discrimination.

The belly dance community is non-judgmental, and open to all students and members of the UH community that might share an interest in learning a new dance form. The organization will create a strong sense of community among members, valuing and encouraging dancers of all experience levels and backgrounds.

The mission of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at the William S. This club provides a social and fun extracurricular activity where UHM students may participate in old school table top role playing games. (Ex. Dungeons and Dragons, warhammer, fallout) Dungeons and Tables at Manoa also provides the experience of meeting new students with similar interests from all backgrounds.

The Collective is a community-centered initiative based in Honolulu, HI and at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa that uses Hip Hop, street dance, and breaking to inspire creativity, build connection, and offer a safe, inclusive space for movement exploration. We offer free dance classes, performances, and workshops with the goal of making dance accessible to all. Rooted in the values of social justice and respect for the cultures that created Hip Hop, The Collective honors Black life and the experiences of people of color. We promote inclusivity, collaboration across differences, and awareness of the land we dance on, which was taken from Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander peoples. Through movement, we strive to bring people together, uplift underserved voices, and foster meaningful community relationships.

The mission of the FBA Hawai‘i Student Chapter is to support the interests and needs of Richardson law students aspiring to Federal practice, both public and private, as well as to strengthen student interest and knowledge of the Federal legal system. Chi Epsilon is the Hawaii chapter of the larger national Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. It was organized to recognize the characteristics of the individual civil engineer deemed to be fundamental to the successful pursuit of an engineering career, and to aid in the development of those characteristics in the civil engineering student. Membership into Chi Epsilon is by invitation only. Our membership is largely comprised of undergraduates, but membership is open to graduate students as well. Our program emphasizes the four pillars of Chi Epsilon: Scholarship, Practicability, Sociability, and Character. We do community services activities, professional development workshops in collaboration with industry, and socials.

Although we often think of insects that don’t belong in Hawaiʻi like ants and roaches, we are actually home to thousands of endemic insects that arrived on the islands long before people did.

Spread awareness about domestic violence and its impact on the health and wellness of our community. In addition, equip our members with knowledge to be able to recognize warning signs that may identify survivors of domestic violence by educating the members of our community

The purpose of Inspire Church YA is to provide a Christ-centered community where students can grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and live out their calling as followers of Jesus. We exist to inspire, equip, and send young adults to impact their campus, families, and communities with the love of Christ.

Event Title: Bible based discussions with free Bible based literature will be available to the public. Two two-wheeled carts will offer the literature. Each cart is approx. 3 feet wide by 5ft high. One cart will have literature printed in the English language and the other cart will have literature in multiple foreign languages. The carts will be approx. 10 feet apart. An attendant will be standing on each side of the carts to answer questions. No food or drinks, including alcohol will be served.

FilGrad serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate Filipinos and other students at UH Mānoa who embrace the Filipino culture and are in their last two years towards obtaining their undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees.

We are a student-based associated focused on sharing knowledge and opportunities with students registered in glass courses. We strive to provide education through professional glass artists and new techniques that would otherwise be difficult to obtain.

The Hawaii American Civil Liberties Union is a student organization made up of members and activists who are dedicated to the principles of justice, fairness, equity, and freedom. Our primary goals are to increase awareness regarding issues surrounding civil liberties, as well as to preserve those liberties both on and off campus in local O’ahu communities. We aim to accomplish our work through collaborations with various organizations and administrations, as well as through community organization, campaigns, education, workshops, and legislative advocacy.

The Honors Students Organization (HSO) provides a voice for students of the Honors Program. It fosters community among Honors students through organizing a calendar of social events. The Unmanned Port Security Vessel (UPSV) is an existing maritime robot developed by the University of Hawaii at Manoa for the purpose of autonomously surveying ports for possible threats including those posed by unknown physical and chemical quantities in times of uncertainty such as a natural disaster or terrorist threat.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). CMN Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 12 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada. Donations benefit local member hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services. When we improve the health of all children and allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential, we also improve our communities for years to come.

The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) endeavors to facilitate the growth of competent, compassionate, culturally sensitive, and socially responsible physicians. The strengthening of personal attributes such as integrity, compassion, altruism, respect, excellence, and empathy is essential to this process. JABSOM promotes these humanistic traits throughout the four year medical school curriculum. Humanistic values are also modeled by faculty and residents in clinical teaching experiences. The Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honors Society (GHHS) chapter at JABSOM is a natural extension to further establish a vision of exemplifying humanistic attributes. GHHS members serve as leaders and role models for the entire JABSOM student body.

All registered Library and Information Science (LIS) graduate students are part of Hui Dui, the student organization of LIS. Hui Dui represents students at LIS faculty and committee meetings, and collaborates with other student organizations to advocate for LIS students at local professional organizations. The primary goals of the PMO are to help students succeed in college, reach their full academic potential, and prepare for graduate or professional school. PMO prepares students for lifelong learning and leadership roles through peer mentorship and volunteerism. We also aim to help students to promote a healthy well-being through offering weekly meditation sessions.

The GSSA provides a safe space for graduate students to present the ideas, interests, and concerns of the members of the student body and serves as a liaison between the students, faculty, and administration. The GSSA facilitates communication and involvement among students through scheduled meetings, coordination of social and educational activities, and dissemination of necessary information. The GSSA is an organization that provides students with opportunities to promote Sociology within both the university and Hawaiʻi community at large through outreach, education, and fundraising. Refuse Fascism Hawai`i (hereinafter “The Club”) was formed in December 2016 to expose and oppose an escalating trajectory towards fascism in the U.S. and sponsor events that enable our general membership and the public to understand what fascism is and how it is developing. In order to accomplish this we sponsor discussions, film showings, speakers, and other events. In addition, we endeavor to work with other campus RIO’s and community organizations sharing common interests and concerns. The Club agrees to abide by current University of Hawai`i policies governing Registered Independent Organizations.

"VIDA is a non-profit humanitarian volunteer organization whose mission is to positively impact the quality of life in underserved communities, while offering volunteers a life-changing experience. Along with affiliated collegiate clubs at other established universities, our VIDA Hawaii team recruits student volunteers, collects donations, and raises funds to participate in volunteer-based medical, dental, and veterinary clinics. VIDA’s current focus is to help impoverished communities in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, and will often collaborate with local ministry of health officials, schools, and local community leaders. We will organize trip(s) to one or more of these Central American countries each academic year. Along with providing free basic medical, dental, and veterinary care, students will have the opportunity to participate in community public health projects that aim to educate and improve the quality of life in these underserved areas. The primary business of APLPJ shall be the publication of a scholarly law journal, known as the Asian Pacific Law and Policy Journal, that presents and/or analyzes legal issues and recently enacted, promulgated, or adjudicated law that affects or is from the Asian-Pacific region. APLPJ will emphasize issues that impact Far East and Southeast Asian nations, Polynesia, other Pacific Islands, and Oceania.

"SPARK fosters enriching experiences for UH students by encouraging them to participate in their communities through volunteer-based work. SPARK’s programs will support students in seeking out volunteer opportunities that are best suited to their passions and goals. SPARK establishes a volunteer program, with the opportunity for students to receive 1 of 2 certifications of completion. A 20 hour certificate or a 35 hour certificate may be awarded after one or two semesters. Our mandatory Kuleana Workshop, along with our weekly Mentorship Mondays, will educate and inspire students to engage in community projects and activism in a fun and meaningful way. SPARK can and will abide by any and all relevant University, state, or federal policies. If a discrepancy between our procedures and an existing relevant policy is brought to our attention, we will take immediate action to correct."

Team Hōkūlele’s mission is to design, manufacture, launch, and recover a high-powered rocket capable of reaching 25,000 feet max altitude, while providing students with valuable hands-on experience in a professional engineering project environment. The purpose of this project is to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and technical growth. The team also strives to build community, represent Hawaiʻi in the rocketry field, and inspire future University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa students to pursue ambitious projects of their own. Looking ahead, the team plans to participate in the Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) Oxidizers Unlimited Tournament (OUT) at the FAR Launch Site in the Mojave Desert, California during June 2026, continuing its tradition of representing Hawaiʻi on the national stage.

The University of Hawaiʻi Law Review at the William S. Richardson School of Law serves the local legal community by providing an elite academic forum for legal scholarship in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific, and contributes to the national discourse on emerging legal issues through the publication of compelling legal writing. First organized in 1979, the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review is a student-run organization that publishes Hawaiʻi’s leading journal of legal scholarship authored by contributors from the legal community, including law professors, practitioners, jurists, and law students. The Law Review produces two issues annually, published in the winter and summer. Each issue contains content that is on the cutting edge of legal scholarship, and addresses topics of great importance and interest to our legal community. Manuscripts have been published relating to Land Use in Hawaiʻi; Environmental and Energy Law; Native Hawaiians and other Indigenous Peoples; and Racial and Social Justice. Articles published in the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review are often cited by scholars and practitioners, both in the State of Hawaiʻi and throughout the United States. In addition to written publications, the Law Review launched its very own podcast – Hawaiʻi Law. Established in Fall 2022, Hawaiʻi Law brings together esteemed guests from all backgrounds to discuss legal issues facing our state. The University of Hawaiʻi Law Review has two primary purposes: (1) to advance legal scholarship and discourse in local, national, and international legal communities and (2) to provide an academic forum for Richardson’s leading law students to further sharpen their legal analysis, writing, and editing skills.

The mission of the Thai Club at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is to create a welcoming space where students can explore, celebrate, and share Thai language, culture, and traditions. We aim to foster cross-cultural understanding, strengthen community ties, and promote pride in Thai heritage through educational events, cultural activities, and community engagement.

Mortar Board Senior National Honor Society has long been recognized in the O'ahu community for its continued partnership with diverse service projects with other student clubs and non-profit organizations all over the island. This is a national collegiate honor society for students in their senior year. Each chapter is typically composed of only a handful of carefully selected applicants for the year - the Hui Po'okela Chapter usually does not exceed 25 members at a time. Potential members are chosen based on how they measure in accord with Mortar Board's key values: scholarship, leadership, and service. Those who excel in said values are then carefully examined through a series of interviews hosted by the chapter's current members. It is a great opportunity to give back to the community and form close friendships with fellow Mortar Board members. This honor society is more than just prestige, but rather, an opportunity for every undergraduate senior to make a local impact in their campus and community before they graduate. Once initiated in Mortar Board, every member will engage in various community service and fundraising activities. We not only help support each other and the Oʻahu community through various events but above all, we are making a global impact by building and growing the best leaders of tomorrow.

Stole Society is dedicated to the manufacturing of stoles for the graduating classes for the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. On occasion, Stole Society will also manufacture the stoles across all majors if requested, however, we do have the ability to deny said request if output is not achievable. The main objective is the production of stoles for CTAHR graduates. The proceeds gathered from stoles created by Stole Society supplement scholarships and events for the Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) students, and its members of the organization. Stole Society aims to foster positive relationships through the FDM community with organized club activities that include, but are not limited to; manufacturing stoles, festive academic events, inspirational educational trips, etc. Stole Society also aids with coordinating fundraiser events, assisting in the necessary operational functions of FDM’s annual fashion show, and promoting the FDM program at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa.
